We are dancemakers, story tellers, and thinkers, seeking to raise the profile of modern dance in D.C. Through collaboration and performance, we challenge our bodies and minds to create meaningful art that evokes emotion and makes audiences think. We value a collective process that draws together people from diverse artistic backgrounds. We are Glade Dance Collective.

NACHMO DC 2024 Health & Safety Protocols

NACHMO DC is committed to creating a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for all. We will continue to monitor any changes to community health and will communicate any updates to these guidelines as needed. If you have any questions about the following, please contact us at info@gladedance.org as early as possible.

The following protocols will be in place for all in-person NACHMO DC events.

Vaccination:

  • We strongly recommend that all attendees stay up to date on eligible vaccinations, especially those protecting against covid-19 and the seasonal flu.

Masking:

  • Masking may be required at NACHMO events based on community spread of infectious disease. We will update participants if that is the case.

  • If you have any symptoms of a respiratory illness/cold (that is not Covid-19), you must remain masked at all times.

Other considerations:

  • Be thoughtful about the people around you–if you don’t feel well, stay home!

  • Choreographers may set requirements in addition to this for their own rehearsals.

  • All NACHMO DC participants (choreographers and performers alike) have a collective responsibility to check in with one another frequently about comfort and safety.

  • Speak up if asked to do something that feels unsafe or crosses a boundary. Communicate clearly with fellow artists in order to be flexible and foster a situation that respects each person involved.

  • Glade and NACHMO DC also encourage all participants to obtain their annual flu shot prior to participation.

Covid-19 & flu diagnosis:

  • If you have tested positive for covid-19 or the flu in the week before the event you may NOT attend until you receive a negative test result or are cleared by a medical professional.

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of a possible infectious disease, please confirm with a medical professional that you are not contagious before attending any NACHMO DC events.

  • If a positive diagnosis or illness impacts your ability to attend the NACHMO Informal Showing on January 27, please contact info@gladedance.org to discuss options.

NACHMO DC 2024 was presented with support from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities.
